Propellerhead creates Reason, ReCycle and Rack Extensions. Tools for creative music production, recording, mixing and remixing. I can't seem to get Reason 8 to recognize my Propellerhead Balance after upgrading to Windows 10. I have an up-to-date driver. I have authorized this computer and the Balance with my license for Reason 8 (in fact I went back and de- and re-authorized just to make sure.) The Balance powers up when I connect it to my computer and is recognized as a hard drive, just like before. When I start up reason, I go to preferences and audio to change my primary audio driver to the Balance, but it does not appear in the list. What am I missing here? I had some problems with balance a while ago. After a couple of emails back and forth with customer support I had two options. • Mess around in the BIOS and figure out the USB port settings, • Buy a PCI slot with USB 2.0 slots. For £8 I thought I might as well just play it safe and get a couple of extra USB slots too. If you have a laptop, I can see this being a bit more of an issue. The problem for me was that the internal USB hub routed the 2.0 ports through a 3.0. Balance freaks out with USB 3.0 I've just upgraded too and Balance has started acting up again (but still works occasionally) You could try going into: (' This PC' right click) - Manage - Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus Controllers and try fixing it from there. The Propellerhead customer support was really good in my experience, so I'd give that a go if all else fails. Hope you fix the problem man, I've been there and I know how annoying it is. Would be nice if Props would fix all the issues with this thing.
